A Fun-Filled Beach Wedding With A Bride & Groom In Designer Wedding Outfits!

Wedding Functions

An alluring wedding story of two people who in the truest sense were two pieces of a puzzle perfectly put together. Their marriage felt nothing less than a beautiful warm day in summer with a mimosa in your hand and the most refreshing feeling that you could ever experience.

You know the moment you see your partner for the first time after months of being apart and the butterflies you get, or realizing that the friend you met as a child would turn out to be your life partner. Well, this is the story of this perfect couple and their passion for one another definitely hit a different chord with the people around them, who were lucky to be able to vouch for their love, first hand.

Their unconditional love and modesty witnessed together was nothing less than inspiring and the wedding reflected every ounce of their collective and individual beliefs collaged into one dynamic blend of two beautiful souls. The bride’s bright smile could light up anyone’s day and the groom’s smirk could mirror the adoration for his bride.

Their Story That Will Leave You “Awww” Struck

Their relationship began in 8th Grade, in a classroom of Jamnabai Narsee School. At the time, they would go for the same tuitions, study together and talk for hours. What started 13 years ago and seemed like childhood infatuation, today was the decision of two people with tremendous respect and admiration for each other to be bound for life. After high school, both of them pursued their education with the groom moving to Chicago, the USA, and the bride first to Pennsylvania, USA followed by London and finally to Auckland to pursue her Ph.D. Their love story took a pause in the middle due to long-distance and various time zones. However somehow, they manage to turn that rock and survive it all.

The groom, as the bride mentions, was always the more emotional one that added the perfect balance to her pragmatism (they could possibly give all the love quotes on Instagram a run for their money). After staying abroad for almost 10 years, when it came to planning their wedding, they knew they wanted something modern with a dash of tradition. Their guest list was global with people flying in from the USA, UK, Spain, Italy, Thailand, New Zealand, and Brazil. The presence of guests arriving from different places around the globe was one of the many special things about their marriage.

Talking about the garish series of wedding functions, it was no less than a fairytale. From ceremonies that boasted vivid hues and power-packed days to every ceremony looking like no less than a gorgeous fashion exhibit, the wedding saw it all.

COCKTAIL

(Eat. Drink. Be Married)

The basic idea behind this was a fusion of Indian décor with a western black-tie event. The choice of venue was Tanatan because of its rustic décor and unique selection of food. The luxurious Maharaja Ambience gave the guests a glimpse into the richness of majestic India as they swayed to the tunes of Bollywood. The bride’s outfit was a bold black gown, supplemented with intricate gold embroidery and embellished with the traditional jewels by Golecha Jewellers while the groom wore a classy black Tuxedo from CEO Rules. The Cocktail event was definitely one of the many fulfilling and lavish nights.

MEHENDI

(#itjustgotreal)

Post Cocktail Night was their Mehendi function at Kino Cottage, Juhu. While the ambience was set with classic stone adornments and brick walls, the décor resonated various elements of India like chakris, jhula, bandhani dupattas, matkas, bells, decorative umbrellas all complimented with the traditional genda phool. The location of the property by the beach and a splash of pink, green, and orange drapes further enhanced the event and added to the vibe. The bride’s look was curated keeping in mind the fun atmosphere. Floral ornaments were specially customized for this function by Neha Chokhani from Petal Craft.

SANGEET

(You start a dance party in my heart!)

Sangeet is an essential part of Indian weddings and theirs was no different. The choice of ITC Maratha Banquet Hall as the venue mirrored the grandeur of the event. The décor was beautifully created and conceptualized by Gurleen Puri to depict a fairytale winter wonderland through the use of exquisite floral settings and crystals that spread throughout the venue. The bride was dressed in a Blush Pink embellished ball gown which complimented the groom’s black velvet bandhgala with floral motifs.

HALDI

(You are the smile to my face)

Haldi traditionally has been a very close family function for them, but they wanted this one to be an experience for all. They didn’t leave any stone unturned where the décor ranged from kites stuck on the walls, a live sugar cane juice machine combined with an ice gola to a small stage set up along with a golden chair in the middle for the groom to sit. The vibe of the event was supposed to be flamboyant with a mix of DJ and Dholwalas. Adding to the success of the event was the power-packed flower shower with 165 Kgs of petals being used. With the hues of blues and yellow, the haldi ended with a bang.

WEDDING

(Two less fish in the sea)

Since both the bride and groom, have spent significant time outside India, they wanted the wedding to have a touch of white. The bride’s choice of outfit was the Ivory and Gold lehenga with chikankari embroidery and mukaish detailing by Tarun Tahiliani was perfect for the beach wedding.

The groom wore an ivory sherwani with intricate gold detailing that added to the royal evening.

The bride’s entry was choreographed by Tamanna Tanna from Satec Events. A simple yet elegant entry with all the bridesmaids leading the way with lotus diyas as the bride walked the aisle.

The couple stood against a beautiful backdrop of a floral ring made with white, pink, and peach flowers. After the reception, the pheras commenced with a couple in a desi avatar. Where the bride was dressed in a typical peach Punjabi suit and the groom in a traditional bandi and kurta. The pheras were conducted in a quintessential traditional manner and ended with a shower of rose petals.

As the bride and groom would rightly want to put it, theirs was a diverse wedding that echoed with different flavors and tastes of the Indian tradition. A series of beautiful and heavenly ceremonies that could ladder up to the best moments of their lives spent together, bringing them closer than ever and knotting them together with each other for an eternity.

The wedding was extraordinarily organized and impeccably executed. The manifestation of having a perfect wedding is typical to the Indian culture and having said that, the wedding was no less than the ultimate ‘Big Fat Indian Wedding’. It’s imperative that the wedding was made to be memorable for the bride and groom as it marks a significant beginning of a life together that could only be embarked upon with lots of positivity, love, and in their case, absolute elegance and grandeur.
