Shabina & Sohail didn’t leave any chance to fulfill their every single wedding dream. They raised the #CoupleGoals bar by perfectly co-ordinating outfits in every ceremony. THE PROPOSAL
“After 2.5 years of dating, we knew what was going to be our next step.
Well, I knew 6 years back itself when I saw him for the first time in Goa for New Years 2013.
Always liked his vibe when I had him around. His kindness towards people swept me off my feet. He literally did nothing for me to go head over heels on him. I lived in Dubai and he lived in Kuwait but we made trips to Mumbai so often to meet our friends and family. One day he finally commented on one my Instagram picture and that’s it, I never let him go after that. I grabbed that hook of a chance.
He decided to come to Dubai to see me. He made me oversell myself to him for almost 5 hours. When he was leaving he told me we are right for each other but also wrong. After 6 months of us being the long distant friends, one day I just stopped returning his calls and texts, he flew right over to me and asked me out.
Travelling has been the most important factor that connected us.”

“On my 30th birthday, I planned to go for a backpacking trip to Norway and Iceland. He surprised me in Iceland by waiting for me at the hotel. We celebrated my birthday with a quiet dinner and then headed to see the Northern Lights and it was my dream to see it before I turn 30.
It was dark with only his camera shutter sound and he told me to stay still while he takes multiple pictures of me as the Northern lights dance over me. A few minutes later I see him kneeling on my side with a ring in his hand. I didn’t even let him complete what he had practiced saying and I hugged him right away. I was so excited even the camera could not capture me.” – shares Shabina.
WEDDING PLANNING
“Since we both lived in the middle east we were sure that we wanted to do all our functions in Mumbai, so for 100’s of us, it was quite a destination wedding. We wanted each one of us to have fun, to have a music festival hangover. We came up with themes and struck out places which would suit best our requirement.”-says bride.

HALDI
“Our Haldi took place at our respective residences in Mumbai. Despite having at different locations we made sure we matched our outfits from this day till the end. My cats were dressed too for my haldi. They are the most important part of me.”-says Shabina
DULHAN KI MEHENDI
“My mehendi was quite intimate with a few family members and closest friends at my place the same night after my haldi. We had a fun themed mehendi ceremony planned for family and friends the next day.
PS: I had Kuwait Towers designed on my hand too.” – says bride.

“While all girls dream about holding their dream man’s hand by the beach, I was all about greens and flowers. Courtesy the Mumbai weather, it won’t allow me to have anything outdoors so I turned the indoor area of Sahara Star into my dream location. You can also read our vows along the way to meet us which we kept a surprise for
each other.” – says bride.
Bridesmen were wearing a lapel pin, which was from my outfit.
COCKTAIL
Our friends behaved at our Nikah, so we ought to throw for them celebrations. The theme for the cocktail was White/ Glitter and Sneakers.
