Meet Rini & Akash

How we met:

“I am Rini Srivastava (IG-@reachinfinity30), a software engineer by profession. Lucknow is my home. My husband Akash Sant(IG @akashsant) is based in Lucknow itself working as PCS Officer in Revenue department UP.
We met because of our sisters, Arushi Srivastava and Anukriti Sant, who are best friends. I and Akash were preparing for the same exam civil services when our sisters made us meet. Since then we became best friends, I think its destiny because despite being born and brought up in Lucknow our paths never crossed before. After the meeting we remained friends for a couple of years, then he proposed to me and I said YES. I could feel an instant connection with him. Our relationship has been very effortless and organic. Our friendship and compatibility is the usp for our relationship.”- says the bride.

Pre-Wedding Shoot

The theme for the Pre-wedding shoot was ” Subtle Romance”. All dresses were planned by the bride itself.

“I took the help of the internet and Instagram and my own sense of style which is lavish yet comfy. I loved my look especially in the peach saree which was designed by me from scratch at home with the help of my tailor.

A big shout-out to our Cinematographer “Dipayan Some (IG-@thelonewolf1992) the most talented person in the business who made our videos look like a movie. “- says the bride.

“I have a keen sense of fashion and décor so I made sure every event had a different theme and flavor. I feel the wedding was a big success in Lucknow because of the team effort. My family members have been very supportive.

My mom Mrs. Meeta Srivastava took care of all the rituals at home while my partner in fashion styling at this wedding has been my sister Arushi Srivastava. We both planned all our dresses and color combination and styles while my father Mr. Avinash Kumar Srivastav (An Executive Engineer) himself took care of all the details and décor. While my Mama Mr. Naval Kant Sinha who is a senior journalist in Lucknow took care of the invitations for politicians n VVIP guests. We wanted the entire wedding to look, Royal, so we planned each and every event very minutely.” says the bride.

ENGAGEMENT

“Being from the city of Nawabs I wanted to showcase the rich culture of my city. I choose a lime-colored zardozi work Anarkali for the function, with an additional veil to complete my Begum look. The dress was from CALCUTTAINSTYLE, a designer showroom in Lucknow. . While for Akash, we went for a white Bandhgala from Bhasin Brothers Lucknow, famous wedding couture. It was a day function, and the look completely did justice as the pictures came out fabulous.

Above all, this look is my absolute favorite, the Nawabi look that I donned. I would say I take inspiration from everywhere, be it surroundings around me, my rich heritage of Lucknow city & of course the Internet.”- says the bride.

SANGEET

This was a fun event with lots of dancing. The bride kept her look very chic yet simple in a beautiful Mehendi green lehenga.

HALDI

“The venue was my home. It was a very simple yet colorful event, with vibrant colors.”- says Rini.

Wedding- D Day

“My look was inspired by the Jodha princess of Jodha Akbar. I chose a velvet dark maroon lehenga to give a princess vibe. It was intricately embroidered with zari work and the dupatta was specially designed, taking inspiration from Deepika Padukone look from her wedding day. I kept my makeup subtle with nude lips and bold cateye. A Big shoutout to Laveena for giving me the exact look I wanted. and Abhishek and his team for making my wedding look so regal and extravagant.”- says the bride.

The most fun part of your wedding day

“Family involvement. Both our families are known from Lucknow so there were a lot of comforts and ease, lots of happiness and blessings.”- says the bride.
