A Flashback to their Beautiful Old School Love Story

It all started in 2004 when Vishakha was in 8th & Vasu was in class 10th. They both met through their mutual friends. It was love at first sight when Vasu saw Vishakha, & told one of his friends that he will marry this girl only. As we know love is not that easy, unfortunately, Vishakha’s brother came to know about them & Vasu got beaten up by him.

But since Vasu’s love for Vishakha was unconditional & pure, he still didn’t give up on her. That was the moment when Vishakha realized that it was something really serious, & then they both decided to actually meet. One of their common friends arranged their meeting and that was the day when they both actually met for the first time. Vishakha found Vasu extremely sweet and innocent. The conversation they had that day was only through eyes. And since then everything was through their long phone calls.

Indeed, Vishakha’s brother was strictly against Vasu, initially, they both had to face a lot of problems. Vishakha being from a Jat family and Vasu from a Brahmin family, had a lot of problems since their parents were against inter-caste marriage. But after 13 years of togetherness and love, Vasu gained the courage to tell Vishakha’s dad about their relationship, and even the destiny was in their favor. Surprisingly, Vishakha’s father agreed to their marriage. Throughout the relationship, Vasu was really supportive and understanding. He is one thing in life that she can count on to be real. As Vishakha says-

“ At the end of the day it’s him I want to hold & I am lucky and proud to be his soulmate.”

A Colorful Mehendi Ceremony With Numbers of DIY Ideas

Indian Bride Mehendi Ceremony

Well! From the very first day, I and my sister Garima were very sure that theme would be totally inspired by the mehndi color & rituals. So she organized my Mehendi in the backyard keeping in mind the green grass or a budget-friendly mehndi function. The entire decoration was done by my sister with the help of Mehendi DIY’s ideas from the wedding sites (fan paper fold craft work, flowers, and holders ).

The outfits were designed by me and got it stitched by my family female members. Bridesmaids outfit were also inspired by green mehndi color & traditional gota flowers. They were not too costly and indeed looked beautiful at them.

I was very much sure of my mehendi outfit that I would be wearing my mother’s kamarband which she wore on her D-day. I just made that silver one changed into gold color which took only (Rs. 500) adding charm to my Mehendi outfit. I wanted my outfit color to be unique which can go with our theme and decor. Significantly, I was the big pink rose in the garden. The Flower jewelry and the hand bangles are from Fashion Fair which are adding the glam to my outfit. Besides this, on every bridesmaid hand, there was a hashtag of us #visvas and every single person on Mehandi was wearing a gotta tikka and ring.

Advice from the bride:

“Well! Each and every function of my wedding was my favorite as it is of every bride. Thanks to the sites like you who provided some great ideas & made me successful in organizing each and every function special within the budget. Also, I want to motivate all those girls who think its only money that can buy the decor, outfits, etc but its the ideas and the way you use it. I loved my Mehendi and engagement function because it was budget friendly & somehow executed with the ideas of my brother, sister & me”- says Vishakha.
