About the couple:
A quote that very well resembles our love story is You don’t find love, it finds you at the right time and right place. We’re truly each other’s manifestation that came true! Prakhar my now husband saw me at a common relative wedding and it was love at first sight for him. He eventually sent me a request over Facebook and we became friends.
The very first interaction we had he told me he wants to marry me and I of course took it jokingly. A year later I was out for my post graduation that’s when he planned a trip to Pune for new year’s and proposed to me in the most romantic way possible. When the entire world was bringing in the new year I found my soulmate on 1 st of January 2017. Off course I said yes and that’s how our happily ever after began. It’s been seven amazing years of dating him, traveling to different places and most important sustaining a long-distance relationship. We’re crazy in love with each other and that’s how we decided to tie the knot on April 23rd, 2023.
Wedding Festivities
It was a full-on Punjabi wedding festivities for 3days. I began the wedding festivities with “Mehendi”, the theme for the event was bohemian. I was very sure I wanted to make a modern bride so I decided to go for a jumpsuit from Nakhrali for my function.

The very evening we had our “Cocktail Night”, just how we imagined it to be silver and all things bling, that was the theme for the event. We went all bling with both of our outfits and partied all night with our family & friends.

The next day we had our tropical haldi that had sunflower hues screaming onto it, We got the custom-made outfit from Sisora which was specially designed and hand-painted for our big day.

The night we had our Ishq sufiyana reception, the theme of the function was Sufi, I ditched the old school red and pink lehengas and decided to go for champagne color lehengas from Aditya & Mohit.

The very next day we had our pheras at Gurudwara with our close ones. It was an all-pink affair, I even got kaleeres customized for my wedding so that no details go missing.

You have tried different looks for your wedding festivities. What has been your inspiration behind them & which one is your absolute favorite?
“I wanted my wedding looks to resonate with me in all ways modern, confident, chic, feminine, pastels, timeless, and most important attention to customization details. It took me entire 6months to plan a mood board of how I want my looks to be. The most favorite look from the entire wedding for me would be on Reception Day. I always envisioned myself making a pastel bride and the dream came true. Champagne hues, monochrome jewelry, and open hair it was my dream come true.” – says the bride.
Wedding Themes
“Yes, we had individual themes for events. The cocktail was all bling affair, we had a Bollywood Punjabi night with Raja Dholis with dhols and Sahil Solanki as a singer, then planned an after-party for our guests with a Russian DJ setting the vibe for the night. The ghadoli function had a Rangla Punjab theme which focused on the roots of Punjab. Haldi was a tropical Haldi with lemon and sunflower hues. The reception was designed around a Sufi theme. We dedicatedly booked a Sufi singer Amrit Wadali and a team to create Sufi vibes for our guests. I designed the chooda ceremony on the evil eye since I am a big-time believer in the evil eye.” – says the bride.

“I prior planned a storytelling mehendi and I m so glad it got executed. My mehendi depicted, our birthplace, Prakhar hails from Chandrapur Maharastra that’s surrounded by forests hence the forest on my hand depicts his birthplace vice verse for me I hail from Ambikapur Chhattisgarh that’s surrounded by mountains hence mountains depict my birthplace. Rest all details I marked in the image itself.”- says the bride.
Wedding Planning
“We both were very clear about the type of wedding we wanted to execute it took us a year of planning to bring into the picture our dream wedding. We were involved in all processes since the beginning and all the entry songs to all vendors we both have personally finalized. Every little detail has our involvement. Being particular about our requirements, it actually brought in soo much happiness to see our family and friends living our dream together with us.”- says the bride.
Beautiful Surprises Planned By Bride For The Groom
“I planned a few surprises for Prakhar during the entire wedding. The first surprise was my story-telling mehendi. The second surprise was me going on my knees to propose to the man of my dream. Third was the surprise flash mob I performed for him on our ghadoli function.
Fourth was my reception outfit reveal, all this while he thought it to be red, and when I walked towards him in a champagne lehenga it took his breath away as he said to me that day. Fifth was my customised kaleeres for the man of my dreams.
I made sure I surprise him, every single moment of this wedding. I always believed it’s the little moments, that stay with you lifelong.
The function we had the time of our lives was “Cocktail”, we danced, boozed, and went all out to Celebrate our ring exchange day.”- says the bride.
From the bride’s experience here’s a piece of advice or a quick tip that she would like to give to other brides-to-be
“Enjoy every moment these precious days ain’t coming back. On reception day evening, we encountered heavy rains the entire setup was shifted indoors, the varmala we dreamt of, the entry we dreamt of, everything was made to shift. We cried that day imagining why are we out into the test after soo much planning. So, we both decided to go with the flow and accepted our destiny.
But still, we had the gala reception party till 5 am in the morning. My best advice will be to go with the flow, it’s all meant to fall in place. Believe and have faith in god’s will. Most importantly be in the moment and enjoy.” – says the bride.
