Saurav and I always dreamt of having a wedding at the beach and Ajman was the place meant for us! Fairmont, Ajman was a beautiful beach facing property with all the apt designed venues for all the traditions and functions. Holding court along the prime beachfront address and enveloped by the pristine white sandy beaches and the turquoise waters of the Arabian Gulf, Fairmont Ajman offers the perfect backdrop for creating lifetime memories on your special day. Wedding in Dubai was like going on a vacation and getting married.
MEHENDI
Mehndi was both indoor and outdoor. Arabic themed indoor with sheesha, multihued drapes and around the pool, the drapes in subtle hues of pink, ivories and orange looked beyond beautiful. Arabic mehndi artists were hired for the Mehendi.
HALDI
Haldi theme was very colourful and cheerful with sea-facing views and everyone carrying colourful dupattas. On the Groom’s side, everyone wore yellow outfits and on the bride’s side everyone wore pink and all bridesmaids wore pink saree. Punjabis dancing their heart out on the dhol, kicking off the event was a sight to behold.
COCKTAIL
The cocktail theme was very modern westernized with golden yellow lights, crystal hangings, assorted flower decor, lanterns and Led screens in the grand ballroom.
WEDDING
The wedding was at the beach, as the desired with the rose gold theme. The decorations were quite subtle. Soft and sublime colours merged pretty well together giving an elegant and cohesive look to the wedding. The bride and groom wore colour-coordinated outfits in rosegold colour. Absolutely, love the pink mirror work lehenga by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, the off-shoulder blouse is a show stopper.
Advice to other brides to be
Start your wedding planning as early as possible so that you have sufficient time to make all the arrangements without any stress. Also, be selective with your guest list. I believe that wedding should be celebrated with close friends and family as you tend to enjoy more.
