Tanvi and Arjun’s dream of having a royal destination wedding made them head to Jaipur, India’s ‘Pink City’ for their nuptials. From the poolside mehndi to the regal wedding, every moment was captured in evocative frames.
Meet Arjun and Tanvi
Arjun lived in the UK and Tanvi was studying in London for my masters. During the summer, Tanvi came back to Delhi for a month and somehow, as the stars had it planned, Arjun was sent to India instead of New Zealand at the last minute for a project. That’s when we connected and then we met for the first time when we both were back in London.
The couple commenced their wedding celebrations with a Rajasthani themed mehndi ceremony by the poolside. The outdoor space was decorated with leherias and bandhani prints. Guests enjoyed the curated cocktails and Rajasthani cuisine, as well as the warm welcome by dancers who performed the ‘ghoomar’ (a traditional Rajasthani dance form). Tanvi looked like a princess in her beautiful pink and peach lehenga with mirror work by Abhinav Mishra
, while Arjun opted for a red kurta with a beige jacket.
Their cocktail night started with a breathtaking performance by the couple, followed by their families set the stage on fire. The venue looked dreamy with a giant LED wedding hashtag, and crystal elements adorned with white flowers replicating a rainfall. Tanvi looked stylish in an indigo lehenga by Sabyasachi Mukherjee, and Arjun matched her look in a navy blue bandhgala and cream trousers by Shantanu & Nikhil.
The bride and the groom had separate haldi functions where the Tanvi was a pretty picture in her simple, yellow suit, and Arjun did not mind getting his pastel pink kurta wet and stained as loved ones smeared turmeric paste on him.
Their wedding venue was beautifully decorated with red and white blooms which added to the regal ambience of the environs. Tanvi walked down the aisle dazzling in a pink Anita Dongre lehenga
, and Arjun complemented her vibe in his white sherwani.
The last of the many eventful functions was their stylish reception. Tanvi opted for traditional wear and looked regal in a stunning Banarasi saree, and Arjun matched her vibe in a black suit.
